I’m looking over the #nafsa13 and #IamIE tweets and it’s incredible to see all of the activity that has taken place this past week. Hard to keep up with it.
Last night was a late one so I’m hoping I have enough adrenaline to get me through the final day of the 2013 NAFSA Annual Conference. I got distracted in the Expo Hall (there’s so much to see) as I was making my rounds yesterday, so I still need to hit a few booths before it closes today at 11:15 a.m. Also on my plate today is the Unique Uses of Technology and Social Media in International Education Fair in Room 101 from 9:00 a.m. to 11:00 a.m. and the final Tweetup at 10:30 a.m. in Washington Lobby West. Then comes the international plenary and networking luncheon with Oscar Arias. I’ll hit one last session or two and then head to the closing reception, where I hope to see many of you and where I’ll pass the torch to the 2014 Annual Conference Chair, Joël Gallegos.
Since this is my last post in my role as chair of the St. Louis conference, I want to take this opportunity to thank everyone who played a key role in putting together such a fabulous conference. From the exhibitors to the presenters, the hundreds of volunteers to the members of the ACC and LAT, to the NAFSA staff and vendors, and of course our incredible host, the city and people of St. Louis – thank you for all you have done. This has been an incredible conference because of the time and energy you put into making sure all of us attending have a great experience.
All that is left is to say is thank you from the bottom of my heart, and I look forward to seeing you next year in San Diego!
