KC ISSS Buddy Program

Annual Conference & ExpoNAFSA 2018 Call for Proposals

The Knowledge Community of International Student and Scholar Services (KC ISSS) Buddy Program matches new professionals working in the field of international student and scholar advising, support, and programming. New professionals are referred to as “Green Buddies” and are matched with more experienced ISSS professionals (called “Seasoned Buddies").

The "Seasoned Buddies" will help "Green Buddies" navigate the annual conference and its offerings by answering questions and providing guidance on working and succeeding as a professional.

The KC ISSS Buddy program is still accepting online registrations for Seasoned Buddies. On-site registration for Green Buddies will be open at the KC ISSS Networking Reception on Monday, May 29, 5:30 p.m.- 7:30 p.m. at the Westin Hotel, by visiting the Buddy Meet-Up table. Please note, on-site matching is done on a first-come, first-matched basis.

Buddy pairs will be notified and introduced by email no later than May 5, 2017, so they can connect by email or phone before meeting in person at the Annual Conference. Buddy pairs will decide on how and when to meet based on their arrival times and schedules. Below are a few events we hope you will attend:
