Welcome to the Region I website! Here you will find helpful information about how to connect with the Region I community and other resources for your work.
NAFSA is organized into 11 geographic regions. Each region is governed by an elected chair and a team comprised of representatives of different areas within international education. Regions publish newsletters and sponsor annual regional conferences and provide resources for the region.
The purpose of Region I is to advance NAFSA's mission within the region's specified area by developing and implementing appropriate activities to such purposes, and by responding to the particular needs of its members. NAFSA Region I, comprised of Alaska, British Columbia, Idaho, Oregon, and Washington, has approximately 450 members representing more than 130 institutions.
