Region XI

Regional Conference

Conference Venue

We have added the Lodge at Bretton Woods to our hotel block at the OMNI Mount Washington Resort. The Lodge is located at the base of the Mount Washington hotel entrance. It has its own parking lot, but you can also walk or drive up to the main hotel lot or take an on-demand shuttle. The conference rate includes the resort fee, which would entitle you to all of the hotel amenities, including the main hotel gym and spa, valet parking etc. There is a pool at the Lodge as well.

We’ve been instructed by the hotel to have you call the hotel reservation line directly at 603-278-8406 (not OMNI reservations). The hours are 8am to 4pm daily. Make sure to identify yourself as attending the NAFSA conference and that you would like to book a room at the Lodge at Bretton Woods at the conference rate.

If you are just coming up for Monday night for a workshop, rooms are still available at the Omni Mount Washington Hotel at their normal rate. You can book directly through the NAFSA portal

Built in 1902 and declared a National Historic Landmark in 1986, the 5-star Omni Mount Washington Resort in Bretton Woods, NH will serve as our venue for the 2017 NAFSA XI Regional Conference. Nestled in the White Mountains with a breathtaking backdrop of Mount Washington, the highest peak in the Northeast (6,288 ft), the resort will provide a relaxing atmosphere for colleagues to gather and share valuable information and best practices.

The conference rate is $159 plus a 9% tax and a $25 resort fee per night. Please note that the resort fee is bundled into the price on the website, so the total room cost before taxes is $184. The resort fee includes: valet parking, high-speed Internet access in your room and lobby area, access to the fitness center and pools, local and toll-free calls, resort shuttle service, historic hotel tours, seasonal lectures and entertainment and more. By joining the OMNI program, you will also receive free coffee or tea delivered daily to your room.

Interesting Fact: The hotel is the site of the historical Bretton Woods Agreement, signed in July 1944. The agreement established the International Monetary Fund as well as the entity that would later become the World Bank. Here's some history on the 1944 conference.
