Major Functions

  • Participate in quarterly teleconference calls and utilize the subcommittee workspace to maintain documents related to the subcommittee’s charge, goals, activities, and outreach.
  • Serve as a resource for NAFSA educational products on crisis management (e.g., publications, sessions, workshops) and provide NAFSA staff partners with practitioner analysis, comments, and feedback.
  • Serve as part of a team of “rapid responders” by communicating with practitioners and institutions that are experiencing crisis situations, and be willing to answer questions from members about crisis management.
  • Serve as a core member of the CMSC team and assist with the subcommittee’s workplan initiatives, outreach and engagement activities, development or updating of resources, and annual conference activities.
