The Economic Value of International Students
Each year, NAFSA calculates the economic value of international students and their dependents to the U.S. economy. During the 2012-2013 academic year, NAFSA estimates that international students and their dependents contributed $24 billion to the U.S. economy, creating and supporting 313,000 jobs.
