Developing Short-Term Faculty-Led Programs with Providers as Partners

Contributors to the third edition of NAFSA’s Guide to Successful Short-Term Programs Abroad present insights on evolving relationships among education abroad administrators, faculty, and providers. During their presentation at the NAFSA 2018 Annual Conference, the presenters examined these complex relationships among education abroad administrators, faculty, and providers selection criteria, and healthy partnerships from a provider perspective.

These presentation slides from the session provide resources to help you:

  • Identify criteria on which to base institutional decisions about whether or not to use a provider for a short-term program, which one to choose, and what role it will play in program development.
  • Take advantage of opportunities during the program development process to begin collaborating with a provider
  • Better understand the provider perspective of working with higher education institutions
