A collection of intercultural activities, intended for administration by post-secondary level faculty and staff, this toolkit provides hands-on resources that can be easily duplicated and utilized by individuals and groups seeking to internationalize the campus.
While presently under revision, each activity will ultimately emphasize instructional goals and intended learning outcomes and provides recommendations for conducting learner evaluations and activity assessments. Intercultural activity sizes range from person-to-person to campus-wide, and, while they are generally organized chronologically according to a learner’s typical experience, sponsors of these activities should engage participants in an order appropriate to specific individual, group or campus-wide needs.
The toolkit includes an ever-increasing menu of activities, including those expressly designed for use in new student orientations, as well as broader events geared toward assisting users in spreading internationalization far beyond the border of the international affairs office.
There are activity options that meet various budgets and emanate from large university settings, and small colleges. Public and private institutions administered the activities in both one-person office and complex departmental settings.
No matter in which area of international education you specialize or what the size of your institution is, this toolkit has activities to meet your unique learning outcomes.
