How to Register for the myCAP Instrument


myCAPAccess to the myCAP© Suite of Resources is provided free of charge to any instructor wishing to have their students utilize the myCAP© Instrument.

The myCAP© Instrument is a tool for faculty to evaluate their student’s cultural awareness through an online survey. Students can purchase the myCAP© Instrument at a cost while faculty can review their evaluation results in web-based reports free of charge.

You need to create an account profile on the NAFSA website to be able to use the myCAP© Instrument.

Access your myCAP Instructor Portal  

The myCAP© Instructor Portal is a page from where you can:

Manage your courses

  • Register your course in the Instructor Portal and obtain a myCAP ID. You can also view your saved course or access the Instructor Dashboard and view the Student License from this page.
  • Give the automatically generated myCAP ID to your students and ask them to browse to, and follow instructions to complete the process. Your students must purchase the myCAP© Student License and add the myCAP ID in their Student Portal to find their assigned course.

Access your student's reports

Visit the Instructor Dashboard to view individual and progress reports for individual students and comparison reports for your class. You will find more information in the following resources:
