Presidents Day at NAFSA 2017 is an exclusive event for campus leaders held during NAFSA's Annual Conference & Expo, the largest international education conference in the world with attendees from over 100 countries. This series of events for university and college presidents, chancellors, and rectors is designed to engage campus leaders on the latest trends in international exchange and facilitate networking to build international campus partnerships. Campus presidents from over 20 countries are expected to attend, from across Europe, Asia, Latin America, and the Middle East.

This special program for campus leaders offers numerous opportunities to explore international partnerships and discuss pressing issues in international education across the globe. Past speakers have included Shibley Telhami, noted author and expert on peace and development in the Middle East; David Wheeler, editor of Al-Fanar Media and former editor of The Chronicle of Higher Education; Jamil Salmi, former tertiary head of the World Bank, and Simon Award winning presidents in campus internationalization from the United States, Latin America, the United Kingdom, Asia, Africa, and the Middle East.

NAFSA engages with campus presidents and provosts to advance the role of international education in producing globally competent graduates, creating cross-cultural learning environments, and international partnerships. NAFSA's programs for presidents and provosts support campus internationalization from the highest levels of campus leadership and allow presidents and chief academic officers to keep pace with the latest trends and 21st century challenges.
