Who Are We – And Should It Matter in the 21st Century?
Gary Younge, award-winning British journalist, author, and broadcaster, is editor-at-large for The Guardian newspaper and writes a monthly column for The Nation, "Beneath the Radar.” Younge will offer his thoughts on the politics of identity; how the way we define ourselves affects every aspect of our lives; and the implications for higher education leaders.

9:15 a.m.-11:00 a.m.

Perspectives on Campus Diversity and Globalization
This session will feature a dynamic Q&A interview with leaders who have found innovative and effective ways to coordinate diversity and internationalization on their campuses. Confirmed panelists include Brenda J. Allen, vice chancellor of the Office of Diversity and Inclusion at the University of Colorado-Denver and Jonathan Jansen, current Stanford University fellow and former vice chancellor and rector of the University of the Free State (South Africa).

11:00 a.m.-12:25 p.m.

Lessons Learned: Voices from the Field
Confirmed panelists to date include  Lorna Jean Edmonds, vice provost for global affairs and international studies at Ohio University, Angela Paiva, associate vice president for academic affairs-international programs at Pontifical Catholic University of Rio de Janeiro (Brazil), Penelope Pynes, associate provost for international programs at University of North Carolina-Greensboro, and Wolfgang Schlör, associate provost for international initiatives at Georgia State University, who will share experiences and case studies from their own institutions.
