NAFSA Practice Advisory on E-Verify for Federal Contractors

This practice advisory explores the rule effective September 8, 2009, that requires certain Federal contractors and subcontractors to use E-Verify to verify the employment eligibility of all current employees working on a subject Federal contract as well as all new hiresregardless of whether they are working on a federal contract. Institutions of higher education are eligible for an exception that allows them to choose to verify only current and new employees assigned to the Federal contract.
