Continuity of Operations Planning for SEVP-Approved Schools

In light of the lessons learned during Hurricane Katrina in 2005, the Department of Homeland Security (DHS) and the Student and Exchange Visitor Program (SEVP) encourage all SEVP-certified schools to prepare a Continuity of Operations (COOP) plan. DHS and SEVP published this Continuity of Operations fact sheet on August 26, 2008 to help schools plan for unexpected situations.
