Preparing Veterinary Students in International Conservation and Development

The objective was to give veterinary students skills for working internationally that are not taught in the core veterinary curriculum. The yearlong program had four components: Reintroduction Seminar, Seminar on International Project Identification, Getting Involved Forum, and the Working Across Cultures Seminar.

The final outputs included behavioral objectives, seminar plans, evaluations, and supporting materials for each of the four seminars and compiled in a Program Facilitator's Guidebook (1.6mIcon PDF 16). The guidebook will be used to continue the program on a permanent basis and made available to other interested veterinary schools.
