Uncovering Connections: Cultural Endurance Between Africa, the Americas, and the Caribbean

The purpose of this project was to raise awareness among the Medgar Evers College student body and within the college community about the possibilities of study abroad and most particularly study abroad in Africa and the Caribbean, two nontraditional destinations for study abroad.

A two-day conference was held and included a roundtable paper discussion and two workshops on the influences of African culture on the United States.
