A Celebration of International Education Through the Arts

Penn State organized a celebration of international education through the arts during International Education Week, November 17-21, 2003. The purpose of the events were to showcase existing international activities in the College of Arts and Architecture and to encourage more students to consider studying abroad.

Events showcased ongoing international activities to students in the college, to the university at large, and to the community. Events raised awareness of the international programs of the university and, thereby, encouraged university students and members of the community to consider the value of international education.

Activities included:
  • an exhibition of work by students who have studied abroad
  • recitals by international music students
  • a performance by NOMMO (African dance club)
  • a discussion sessions led by faculty and students with recent international experience
