About NAFSA
Around the World with Howard Community College
During International Education Week, Howard Community College created a week-long program focusing each day on one area of the world to:- Inform students and community members about the many aspects of culture in various parts of the world
- Give international students a chance to help plan and participate in a program at Howard Community College
- Get U.S. students to participate in this international event, interacting with international students
- Encourage involvement from the multicultural organizations in the community and interaction among each other
A table in the student center was used to distribute materials about the continent and to display artifacts. Faculty and international students sat at the table to talk with those who came by. Each day there were special events for the continent of that day.
