Global Communication: Shaping Our Images of Each Other

This project was designed to enhance International Education Week activities by providing international and U.S. students with opportunities to enter into dialogue around the theme "Global Communication: Shaping Our Images of Each Other."

The week-long series of events included:

• An Interfaith Peace Service;
• A talk by Mitchell Stephens from the Department of Journalism at New York University on Global Communication;
• A Taste of the World International Dinner;
• A panel discussion on Stereotyping and the Media, featuring international and U.S. students;
• An international fair called Around the World in an Hour, with booths from countries represented on campus; and
  
• A talk by a visiting Fulbright scholar from Vietnam.
