Nebraska Multicultural Exchange Conference

The goal of the Nebraska Multicultural Exchange Conference (NEMEC) was to promote cultural exchange among international students, scholars, faculty, and U.S. citizens through a weekend of workshops, a panel discussion, and an international dinner.

A celebration was held Friday evening to welcome participants to the weekend conference. Workshops featured many cultures including the Czech Republic, Russia, Latin America, China, Mozambique, Korea, Malaysia, Indonesia, and cross-cultural issues and topics, such as women's issues and family values. There was also a panel discussion on the Islamic religion and Muslim culture.
