International Student/Business Development Program

Three colleges—Contra Costa, Diablo Valley, and Los Medanos—partnered with area businesses to develop a series of workshops for international students.

Workshops encouraged international students to become involved with area businesses and to become knowledgeable about their practices, operations, and facilities. Workshops included visits to an engineering firm, candy companies, an automobile factory, a bakery, and a health facility.

Workshops were followed by presentations on resume writing, interviewing tips and techniques, internship and volunteer opportunities, and general question and answer sessions. An end of the year evaluation/celebration concluded the project.
