All Politics is Local

All Politics is Local engaged international and U.S. students at Buffalo State College in a community- and campus-based study of the grassroots process of the 1996 presidential election.

The group visited a congressional campaign headquarters to learn about the electoral process, the role of advertising, and the role of local citizens in getting out the vote. The participants returned to campus for lunch and a panel presentation and discussion with state and locally elected representatives, who addressed the importance of the national campaign to their own districts and its potential effect on international education.
