Celebrating the Wisconsin Sesquicentennial: Focus on State Government
A series of activities and trips were planned to provide international students at the University of Wisconsin-LaCrosse an overview of Wisconsin history; focusing on significant events and people, and an understanding of the role of the three branches of government and the interrelationship of federal, state, and local governments.A tour of the state capitol; a visual experience of Wisconsin's landscape; and a visit to the new Frank Lloyd Wright–designed Monona Civic and Convention Center were among the highlights of the program.
