Celebrating the Wisconsin Sesquicentennial: Focus on State Government

A series of activities and trips were planned to provide international students at the University of Wisconsin-LaCrosse an overview of Wisconsin history; focusing on significant events and people, and an understanding of the role of the three branches of government and the interrelationship of federal, state, and local governments.

A tour of the state capitol; a visual experience of Wisconsin's landscape; and a visit to the new Frank Lloyd Wright–designed Monona Civic and Convention Center were among the highlights of the program.
