Getting to Know You

This program followed the theme of U.S. society and values, including pluralism, diversity, volunteerism, religious tolerance, the partnership of the public and private sectors, and the arts and cultural heritage of the United States.

Through a series of field trips the goal was to enhance the educational experience of international students at Genesee Community College by providing opportunities to:

• Increase knowledge of local Western New York geography and history
• Experience diverse cultural activities in community and other educational environments
• Strengthen interaction among international students, U.S. students, college staff, and community members
