Llama Trek

Participants hiked with llamas through Bruneau Dunes State Park, and learned about ecology, the park environment, and other cultures during the one-day program. Llamas were used to pack in the food as they were more environmentally friendly.

Organizers utilized outdoor education to develop social relationships among international and U.S. students in order to increase cross-cultural understanding. Participants were afforded the opportunity to develop new friendships and learn about other cultures. They also gained a great appreciation for the Idaho outdoors as well as knowledge about how to "tread lightly on the earth" when hiking and camping.
