The Role of Religion in World Affairs
The Minnesota International Center coordinated a year-long series of forums and activities aimed to integrate and educate international students and the community about the role of religion in world affairs and to better understand and analyze the religious underpinnings of major global issues.Four forums on Judaism, Hinduism, Buddhism, and Islam helped broaden understanding of links between religion, national identity, ethnicity, and politics.
A fifth forum focused on the power of conviction in peacemaking. International students and community members also observed worship services in local churches and synagogues.
