UW International Information Network (UWIIN)
The University of Wisconsin International Information Network (UWIIN) is a collaborative on behalf of the University of Wisconsin’s system of 26 campuses (13 four-year and 13 two-year) and their external communities.The UWIIN is designed to facilitate greater communication, awareness, and pursuit of international resources, opportunities, initiatives, and models. The primary tools of the UWIIN are a Web site and training sessions for those using and contributing to the UWIIN.
Objectives
- The collection of information.
- The development of a comprehensive Web site with multiple levels of functionality, from general posting of information to the use of chat and weblog (“blogging”) software.
- Training sessions for international educators, faculty, staff, students, and K-12 educators, and community “globalists” (people with international involvements and/or interests). UWGB is already providing international education (IE) information and programming for hundreds of globalists in N.E. Wisconsin.
