Japan Specific Interest Group

JapanSIG homepage
Anthony Ogden & Natsumi Onaka Japan SIG Coordinators
The Japan SIG was created at the 1988 NAFSA Annual Conference in Washington, D.C. by a group of individuals interested in creating a forum in which to keep informed of developments in Japan and to share such information with the NAFSA membership. Over the years, the SIG membership has changed so that at present there is significant interest and participation from Japan and thus, the SIG has expanded its focus to include a wider range of issues pertaining to Japanese educational exchange.

The Japan SIG now serves as a forum for those interested in furthering educational exchange with Japan and as a working group to develop resources, exchange ideas and information, and network professionally. The Japan SIG welcomes all who are interested in Japan and international education.

Please join us in Washington, D.C. next year to celebrate our 20th anniversary!
