Getting Involved in the Japan SIG

The Japan SIG welcomes all who are interested in Japan and international education. There are no membership fees, but active participation is encouraged. There are many opportunities to get involved. The Japan SIG is led by a pair of coordinators who each serve two-year terms, and there are numerous on-going projects that require active involvement from the membership. To become a member of the Japan SIG, contact the Japan SIG directly or attend an upcoming regional or national NAFSA meeting.

The Japan SIG is currently seeking Regional Representatives to extend the goals and activities of the SIG on the regional level. In previous years, SIG Representatives have organized meetings at regional NAFSA conferences and some have led dinner outings to popular Japanese restaurants. The SIG is also seeking a Membership Secretary, a Web site Manager and nominations for Co-Chair (2010-2012).
