Professional Network Leader, Managing an Education Abroad Office, EA KC

The Managing an Education Abroad Office (MO) Professional Network Leader provides oversight and coordination of the network Web pages, the primary vehicle of the knowledge community for Education Abroad (EA) for disseminating knowledge and information about education abroad office management, as well as hosting topical discussions relevant to this area.

In addition to the responsibilities common to all network leaders, the MO network leader must also demonstrate:

• Familiarity with issues related to managing diverse types of education abroad offices (one-person-office to large offices) and the unique needs of each, advocating for education abroad, and strategic planning.
• Ability to synthesize/summarize information in such a way that it is accessible to non-experts.
• Awareness of overlap with other NAFSA KCs and EA networks and ability to negotiate mutually acceptable solutions to network management.
