Registration

ac07 Register Full Daily registration rates are for one day only (Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday, or Friday). Please indicate the day you wish to participate.

If you register to attend more than one day, your registration will be processed at the full conference registration rate.

Payments

  • All conference registration fees are quoted in U.S. dollars
  • Full payment must accompany the registration form
  • Do not send cash or traveler's checks
  • Make all checks payable to "NAFSA 2008"

Miscellaneous Information

  • If you register by fax or mail, use the registration form for one conference registrant and spouse/life partner.
  • Please write your name as you wish it to appear on your badge.
  • Provide your membership number. If your membership number cannot be confirmed by NAFSA, you will be charged the nonmember rate.
  • If you are not registering online, please be sure to calculate the total amount due on the registration form. If there is a discrepancy, you will receive a letter indicating if there is a balance due. Be sure to forward any additional monies before the deadline to ensure your preregistration status.

Membership

NAFSA membership allows the dues-paying individual of record (whether personal or institutional payment) to receive the discounted rate. Member pricing for conference registration and other conference events is available only to members in good standing whose current membership expires on or after June 30, 2008.

Transferring Membership

The last date to transfer NAFSA membership from one person within an institution to another is February 28, 2008. After that date, membership may be transferred in the new dues year, beginning July 1, 2008. The only exception is for staff members who leave the institution of record; such cases will be handled on a case-by-case basis by NAFSA’s Senior Director for Member Relations & Leadership Services Frank Doyle at frankd[at]nafsa.org.


Cancellations and Changes

Cancellation of conference registrations and requests for refunds must be made in writing and received no later than Friday, May 2, 2008.

A $100 (USD) cancellation fee will be deducted from conference registration refund checks or credits. Refunds, if appropriate, will be processed four to six weeks after the conference. If payment is made by credit card, a credit will be issued to your credit card account; otherwise, a refund check will be issued. The NAFSA registration staff will do their utmost to make sure refunds are processed in a timely manner.

Requests to change, add, or delete conference registration and workshops (if space is still available) must be made in writing and will be accepted if received by mail or fax through Friday, May 2, 2008. No changes will be accepted for special events that are limited in capacity. All requests for changes, cancellations, and refunds should be mailed or faxed to:

Special Events

There are no refunds for special events unless an event is sold out and your alternate choice is not available, or the event has been canceled. During the conference, NAFSA's Hospitality Desk will offer a special event ticket exchange board for attendee use.

Preregistered attendees may stop by the NAFSA Registration area in the Walter E. Washington Convention Center to pick up registration materials, which includes tote bag, printed program, name badge and tickets.
