View Web siteCollege students studying abroad today, known as the "Millennial Generation," often have uniquely different expectations of their abroad experience than college students in previous decades. Through exploring the most common characteristics and goals of millennial students (and their parents), we will evaluate and consider new creative and effective ways to advise these students and administer and develop education abroad programs to meet their needs.

Dr. Harley is active in professional organizations related to international education, including NAFSA (Association of International Educators), CIEE, The Institute for International Education (IIE), the FORUM on International Education, and others. He has several publications and presentations within both sociology and education abroad.
Jessica King
Study Abroad Italy
Jessica King currently serves as University Relations Manager at Study Abroad Italy, by building relationships with colleges across the country and sending US students to six international schools in Italy. Previously, Jessica served as Housing Coordinator for SAI, assigning, orienting, and managing over 1500 students in apartments in Florence, Rome, and Syracuse. Jessica began her career in International Education at Baylor University, her alma mater, as the Study Abroad & Exchange Program Advisor sending over 800 students abroad to 60+ partner institutions and faculty-led programs worldwide. As a generational "cusper" (a gen-Xer that falls close to Millennials), her original interest in generational research stemmed from the personal contrast between her peers and students (and parents!) she works with today.
