Graduate Admissions
Audience: Graduate Admissions Professionals with 3-5 years experience
This eight-hour workshop is designed for people who process international graduate applications. It is not limited to admissions personnel, but welcomes faculty and department staff which process international graduate records for admission. The workshop will cover credentials and calculating grade points from many different types of educational systems. Various resources will be used. We will discuss educational systems, working with faculty, other offices on campus, application needs, and ethics. A calculator and highlighters will be necessary to participate in the workshop.

- Understand work environment in order to compare and contrast credential analyses in the domestic and international arena
- Learn resources that are available to evaluate foreign credentials at the graduate level
- Gain skills in the evaluation of foreign credentials at the graduate level
- Describe approaches to working with staff and faculty to facilitate the smooth review and follow-up actions to be taken for foreign credentials at the graduate level
