Main Content Body

Who Should Attend?

Campus strategists and international officers who have been tasked to develop and support an International Enrollment Management (IEM) plan and would like to see how others have successfully structured their IEM strategies on their campuses. This group may include: enrollment managers, senior international officers, directors of international student offices, directors/deans of admissions offices, international student recruitment counselors and coordinators, and intensive English program administrators.

Why Should You Attend?

You should attend this webinar if you are interested in seeing successful models of IEM in action and if you are interested in hearing about what other institutions have learned from engaging in IEM.

Webinar Content

Has your campus moved beyond talk of why an IEM strategy would benefit your institution? Are you ready to move toward implementation, but desire a rich discussion about what others have done when they have launched their plans? Are you considering a holistic approach to IEM? Can you articulate the relationship of IEM to comprehensive campus internationalization?

In this webinar, three strategists, Fanta Aw, Ross Jennings, and Daniel Robb, share the stories of strategic IEM on their campuses, what worked well, what they learned along the way, and what they would do differently. Throughout, they will extract best practices to help you engage your own strategy at your institution.

In order to maximize the time of the participants, our presenters will assume that participants both understand what IEM is and why it is beneficial. You may wish to access NAFSA’s rich library of written resources on this topic at www.nafsa.org/IEMresources.

Webinar Objectives

Participants will be able to:

  • Identify critical junctures that are pivotal to IEM implementation success.
  • Derive the "keys to success" credited to highly influencing IEM success from each institution.
  • Using the three examples, derive a set of guiding principles to help shape your own IEM plan.
