Australian Higher Education Seminar

The Australian Trade Commission (Washington, DC) – in partnership with NAFSA: Association of International Educators, Forum on Education Abroad and the Canadian Bureau for International Education, is pleased to announce the 2011 Australian Higher Education Seminar. The purpose of the Higher Education Seminar is to learn about Australian higher education and develop or deepen partnerships between institutions. Partnerships include student exchange/study abroad, faculty exchange, research and joint degrees.

The Higher Education Seminar ran from March 13-27, 2011.

Who Should Participate?

The seminar is open to study abroad advisors, international directors and faculty members responsible for internationalization in the U.S. and Canada. The application process is competitive; up to 12 participants will be selected. Representatives from NAFSA: Association of International Education, the Forum on Education Abroad, the Canadian Bureau for International Education and Austrade will make up the selection committee.

Participants will be responsible for their international airfare to Australia (USD$1500-2000), domestic airfares (USD$300-500) within Australia and some meals (USD$300-400). Australian state governments will meet the costs of hotels, ground transportation and some meals.
