My co-presenter Mike Stone and I would like to invite you to join us during our Region XI session via Twitter. The session is called: Web 2.0 is Your Friend: Using Social Media to Inform, Connect and Promote and runs from 2-3:30 PM Eastern Standard Time on Wednesday, 5 November 2008. We are demonstrating that social media can connect people over distance and time zones.
No matter where you are, you can join us using Twitter, a free micro-sharing/micro-blogging service:

Go to http://search.twitter.com/ and put SM101 in the search box to see what is being discussed. You will only be able to read comments, you won't be able to post a comment. To see the most recent comments, click on the Refresh button on your browser periodically. To comment you will need a Twitter account. Hope to see you in the twittersphere!

Hi Brian,

A few years ago, NAFSA redefined its mission to be more broad-based -- we want to serve not just our members but the International Education field in general. With the rise of social networking and new media, it makes sense for us to fulfill our mission by setting up a NAFSA presence on sites like Facebook. Hopefully we're reaching folks who might not have known about us otherwise -- ultimately furthering the cause of international education.

If you're curious, we're also on Flickr, YouTube, and Twitter. We also have a blog (blog.nafsa.org), but all of its posts get fed into this Facebook page.

Thanks for commenting,
Gordon Withers

Hello Group!
Does anyone have any connections to the European School of Economics? I am interested in a posted position with the school, and I am seeking out additional information.
Thank you in advance for the assistance!

My company deal with the same initiatives and activities as yours; what were some of the reasons that led you to create a facebook page and what is your target audience?

Thank you
