Apex Award 2007 Five U.S. higher education institutions were awarded the 2006 Senator Paul Simon Award for Campus Internationalization and are featured in this major report published by NAFSA: Association of International Educators. Three other exemplary programs are also highlighted in the report in shorter spotlights.

The five institutions, profiled in depth, that received the Senator Paul Simon Award for Campus Internationalization are:
  • Arcadia University in Pennsylvania
  • Concordia College in Minnesota
  • Earlham College in Indiana
  • Michigan State University
  • Purdue University in Indiana

The three schools highlighted for exemplary programs are:
  • Babson College in Massachusetts
  • Old Dominion University in Virginia
  • University of Richmond in Virginia

A distinguished selection jury decided which schools from a strong and diverse set of nominees would be chosen for the award and inclusion in the 2006 report. The members of the selection jury were:
  • Stephen Dunnett (jury chair), vice provost for international education, University at Buffalo, State University of New York
  • Jon Booth, deputy director, division of international programs abroad, Syracuse University
  • Linda Melville, international advisement specialist, University of New Mexico
  • Wendy Weiner, senior vice president of academic affairs and CEO south campus, Community College of Allegheny (now at Chatham College)
  • James H. Williams, director, international education program, George Washington University
