Health, Safety, & Security: Sample Web sites of Programs & Institutions
Compiled by Bill Nolting, University of Michigan
Many institutions provide information regarding safety in education abroad via their Web sites. Below is a compilation of a variety of sites. Many of these sites are those of institutions represented on the Education Abroad Health and Safety Subcommittee and the Interassociational Advisory Committee on Health and Safety (formerly known as the Interorganizational Task Force on Safety and Responsibility). The content of these sites ranges from communications intended for students and parents to emergency contingency plans.
Members of the Education Abroad Health and Safety Subcommittee want to stress that these Web sites are meant to serve as examples. They are not being recommended for duplication or as sources of information, but rather as helpful models for institutions and programs to use in developing their own materials.
