SIT Study Abroad is renowned for programs in uncommon destinations. From modernization in Jordan to the effect of global economic changes on Mongolia's nomads, their students explore important community, regional, and world issues. By partnering with in-country organizations, they provide students with access to resources and extraordinary learning opportunities in over 60 countries around the globe.

Bridgette Auger
Oman: Diplomacy, Development, and Identity in the Middle East, spring 2005
“I really felt that I got a strong grasp of the country's culture and politics. …I was able to develop close relationships with my host mother and sisters to the point where I could ask them intimate questions about their faith or lifestyle and get real answers.";
Elizabeth Hensleigh
Uganda and Rwanda Peace and Conflict Studies, summer 2005
"Have you ever challenged yourself to an extent you never thought possible? I did just that on the SIT Uganda and Rwanda Peace and Conflict Studies summer abroad program. The six weeks were filled with simultaneously amazing and heart-wrenching experiences, minute after minute, day after day."
Johanna Twersky
Mongolia: Culture and Development, spring 2005
"The present tug-of-war occurring in Mongolia between modernization and tradition, that is, the influx of western influence with the concurrent revival of Mongolian culture, is arguably the most fascinating thing I could have studied. Not only earning the privilege to learn about another country from within, but being actually invited to witness its very evolution, is an experience for which I am infinitely grateful."
