Leading, Strengthening, and Acting to Advance Internationalization

My remarks will focus on small liberal arts colleges many of which have limited resources, and will be drawn from my experience as Provost at Salem College, a liberal arts college for women in Winston-Salem, North Carolina, and as President of Kalamazoo College, a highly selective liberal arts college in southwestern Michigan. From the perspective of internationalization, the institutions have significantly different histories and have chosen quite different pathways
