Models

  • Unofficial Ambassadors. Mary A. Thompson. International Student Service. YMCA/New York. 1982.
A 65 year history (1911-1976) of the first “COMSEC” organization, called the Committee on Friendly Relations Among Foreign Students, which later became the International Student Service of the YMCA/New York. Several current national organizations involved in international exchange are built upon the foundation laid by this pioneering community-based organization and its diversified efforts to care for foreign students.
