Alternatives to the Research Scholar/Professor Category

When departments wish to bring a foreign national to campus for an activity, it is important to remind ourselves that the J program has categories other than Research Scholar/Professor and that the Research Scholar or Professor category may not be the only or even the best option for sponsorship. In particular, it is important to consider how best to preserve the university’s as well as the scholar’s ability to continue future collaboration and international exchange.
