Health

This comprehensive yet concise pamphlet provides foreign students and scholars with information on the U.S. health care system and payment structure, staying healthy during their stay, finding medical care, necessary immunizations, personal hygiene, sexual health and family planning, mental health, dental health, and a personal health checklist for students.

This updated, revised, and easier to read edition explains for foreign students the often confusing and sometimes intimidating U.S. health care system. Included topics are: an overview of the types of medical insurance plans available, how to evaluate policies, why insurance is needed, how to use the insurance plan, suggestions for keeping medical care costs manageable, as well as a very useful glossary of definitions and explanations of medical insurance terms.
