Information on Students from Gaza

NAFSA continues to monitor the situation for Palestinian students living in Gaza who have been accepted to universities in the United States and other countries but have been unable to leave the area to pursue their studies.If your institution is among those that expected a student or students from Gaza who have not been able to travel to the United States, we would be grateful if you could contact NAFSA’s Public Policy Department. Because of the urgency of this unfolding situation, we would ask that you get in touch with us NO LATER THAN COB Monday, October 6, either by emailing govrel@nafsa.org or calling 202.737.3699, ext. 2556. The following information would be useful background:
- Your name, institution, and contact information (in case we need to follow up)
- Number of students from Gaza that you are still waiting on
- Anticipated date of arrival
