Member interest groups are communities of NAFSAns with a shared interest in a specific international education subject matter, geographic location, or type of institution. Getting involved in one or more of the member interest groups is a personal way to connect with other international educators with whom you share common interests. Member Interest Groups are informal groups by design and members focus their energies on a variety of network and information sharing activities both online and face-to-face at conferences.

11 NAFSA Regions
NAFSA membership is organized into 11 U.S. geographic regions, which provide the all-important grassroots strength of the association. All NAFSA members receive an automatic dual membership in their NAFSA region as an inclusive benefit of their national membership. A wealth of opportunity for member involvement, learning, and association leadership are found at the regional level. Every fall, each NAFSA region holds a conference. These events are excellent opportunities for NAFSA members to network with accomplished colleagues and to stay current with the latest trends.
