NAFSA provides professional development resources and training programs that enhance the skills, knowledge and professional competencies of its members. Nearly 3,000 NAFSA members and international educators participate in NAFSA trainings each year. These training experiences are designed to be interactive and participatory either through hands-on learning or through presentations with opportunities for lively discussion. Also available are a variety of insightful and challenging programs for mid- to upper-level professionals designed to contribute to their success in leading the international education agenda.

NAFSA conference sessions are designed to be primarily peer-to-peer learning opportunities. Each year NAFSA receives over 600 proposals to be considered for presentation within one of the 200 sessions at the annual conference.
