NAFSA provides resources and training programs that enhance the skills, knowledge, and professional competencies of its members.


Training
Professional development training, seminars, and workshops are designed to promote career growth. NAFSA provides training opportunities for international educators in a variety of areas. Training programs and workshops are offered throughout the year in varying times and locations.Conferences
These events bring international educators together for training, discussions, and networking:- NAFSA’s annual conference, a meeting place for more than 6,000 international educators from 70 countries
- Regional conferences each fall in 11 sites around the United States
- Programs for Leaders in International Education provide mid- to upper-level international education professionals with a chance to explore trends, strategy, leadership, and change-management skills they need to sustain and expand successful international education programs.
Publications
NAFSA has a long tradition of publishing books, monographs, and other works for international educators. Many titles are practical guides to specific aspects of daily work, while others share "big picture" thinking and offer food for thought.- International Educator, NAFSA’s bimonthly magazine, focuses on trends and thought-provoking issues in the field
- The Adviser’s Manual subscription service and companion Web site, the most complete resource of immigration laws, procedures, and practices for international educators
- NAFSA.news, a weekly electronic newsletter, delivered to your desktop, provides direct communication of advocacy and professional development information
