NAFSA Comment on DOL Labor Certification Proposed Rule

NAFSA submitted a comment to the U.S. Department of Labor (DOL) proposed rule, "Labor Certification for the Permanent Employment of Aliens in the United States; Reducing the Incentives and Opportunities for Fraud and Abuse, and Enhancing Program Integrity." The comment focuses on the unrealistic proposal to limit the validity period of labor certification to 45 days and DOL’s plan to prohibit the payment of fees by the beneficiary of the labor certification.
