NAFSA Comments to the Office of Management and Budget on Assignment of Social Security Numbers

This letter constitutes the comment of NAFSA: Association of International Educators. We wish to call attention to a growing problem that many legitimate international students and scholars and their dependents face: government agencies are independently restricting access to identification numbers without which these foreign nationals face limited access to services essential for everyday life in this country.
