This chart compares the number of students studying abroad to the total student enrollment in each state for a state by state comparison of participation rates in study abroad.

How did we compute the participation rate for your state?
The number of students who studied abroad was divided by the total state student enrollment at all degree granting colleges and universities to find the percentage of the number of students in each state that studied abroad for credit at their college or university.
