*Notes to Authors and Contributors

Job Descriptions of participants: As determined by NAFSA Publications, the author is the person who assumes primary responsibility for organizing project work plan, outlining content, designating work assignments, keeping in touch with co-authors and contributors, adhering to editorial timeframe, receiving, and organizing all text for submission to NAFSA Publications. This person will write a significant portion of the completed text. A co-author is a person who researches and writes a significant portion of the completed text, and who assumes a share of the author job tasks named above. The author and co-author will mutually determine, in writing, what the co-author is expected to do. A contributor is a person who serves as a resource for original material in the book, who contributes one or more quotes, who provides expert advice or counsel, or who acts as an information resource for preparation of written text. A contributor may agree to submit a small portion of original text, by pre-arrangement with the author.

Honoraria for services performed: NAFSA is able to assign authors and co-authors honoraria to be specified in signed letters of agreement. Contributors will not receive honoraria. Honoraria will be based on a formula developed and reassessed each fiscal year by NAFSA Publications.
